Đây là ống kính sản xuất khá lâu đời sử dụng cho các dòng máy ảnh DSLR Canon Fullframe và Crop. Lens này có độ nét, đặc biệt ở khẩu độ max khẩu 1.8, màu sắc ảnh do lens chụp như thế nào, chụp ảnh chân dung xóa phông, ảnh thiếu sáng có tốt không, có nên mua ở thời điểm hiện tại.
